Check out the Studio 55 Fitness Center at the Sr. Center.
Effective September 10, Studio 55 hours are Monday, Wednesday: 8 a.m.-Noon, 1-3 p.m., 5-8 p.m.; Tuesday, Thursday: 8 a.m.-Noon; Friday: 8 a.m.-Noon, 1-3 p.m.; and Saturday: 9 a.m.-Noon.

The drop-in fee is $5, and Studio 55 also plans to offer fitness classes to seniors ages 55 and up. Please call 583-5320 for more information.

-Ballroom Dance classes on Mondays.
-Digital Photography - the second Tuesday of every month beginning September 11.
-Shakespeare - Thursdays beginning September 13.
-Volleyball - Tuesday and Thursdays at Burbank School beginning August 28.
-Line Dance classes every Thursday & Friday.
-Ed Lentz returns August 31 with English History.

Watercolor Classes every Tuesday from 1-3 p.m. with Mindy and Ron Newman. Fees are $10 per class and supplies are included on the first visit. Contact Sally Gard at 614-583-5320 for more information. Visitors are welcome!

Telehealth Did you know you could access health care via a Telehealth visit with a nurse? A virtual visit with a nurse provides timely interventions. Clients can monitor vital signs and assess health status through real time video and audio telecommunications. Find out more about this new technology from Natalie Fisher.

LifeCare Alliance Wellness Nurse, Marilyn Webster, R.N. provides nursing services: toe nail trimming, wellness visit, cholesterol, blood sugar and anemia screenings, ear irrigation and health education on chronic disease. Call 583-5320 to schedule appointments. If you are a new client, please inform the receptionist so that she can allow adequate time for your visit.

Try this simple-to-use tool, available at the Senior Center, to help visually impaired to read papers, magazines, personal mail and other paperwork or to sign documents. To make an appointment to use the Magnavision, call 583-5320.

Irish Luncheon Music by Knot Fibb’n
Sign up today for the annual feast of homemade corned beef, cabbage, carrots, potatoes and Irish dessert. Knot Fibb’n performs acoustically their unique crisp style of traditional Irish American music. The four members perform your favorites on Celtic drum, flute, accordion and guitar with an outstanding tenor vocalist. This Columbus based group has performed all over the Midwest. Register in bldg #3 no later than Friday, March 7. There are 90 seats available on a first come, first served basis.

Art & Architecture in Philadelphia & Cape May
Fly to Philadelphia for an architectural tour, visit the Barnes Museum, a private art collection including the works of Cezanne, Picasso, Renoir and more. Stay in the renovated Philadelphia City Hall, now the Marriott Courtyard Philadelphia. See the Philadelphia Museum of Art featuring a special exhibit of the works of Frida Kahlo. Next, travel to Cape May, NJ, candy-coated with Victorian architecture, where we stay in historic Congress Hall and visit Dr. Emlen Physick Estate, tour the city and finish with a sunset flag ceremony at Cape May Point. The Upper Arlington Commission on Aging is a not for profit organization established to recognize the needs of older adults (age 60+) who reside in Upper Arlington. The Commission operates in partnership with the city of Upper Arlington and other related groups or agencies, at the policy level to:

• Identify issues, needs, and concerns of older adults in our city;
• Advise appropriate measures for resolving those same issues, needs, and concerns;
• Aid in policy and program development by seeking both human and material resources;
• Advocate for older adults where feasible

Home and Health for a Lifetime Resource Fair
Each April, the Commission presents its Home and Health for a Lifetime Resource Fair, featuring exhibits from a variety of organizations that provide services to the community’s older adult population.
