I've
lived in UA since: 1983
Prior
to owning Larson's Toys & Gifts:
I was employed by Little Professor Book Centers
here in Columbus.
Our
business' beginnings: I opened Larson's in
October, 1981 because a good friend, who owned Michael's
Kidstuff, suggested that I open a toy store.
The
most rewarding part of my job: has been getting
to know so many customers over the years. We now have
people buying for their grandchildren - and they used
to buy for their own children!
The
least rewarding part of my job: Because of
the way my business has grown and changed, I no longer
get to spend as much time on the sales floor meeting
and helping customers. I miss that.
My
recreational activities: Cooking, reading,
listening to music, hiking.
My
family members are: I'm a widower with two
children: Claire and George. We also have two cats
at home: Missy and Rudy.
My
favorite UA place to frequent: Huffman's -
a fantastic independent grocery store with great customer
service.
My
future plans for my business: To continue offering
the best toys we can find.
My
favorite food: I like it all! Chocolate chip
cookies, lobster, Indian curries.
My
favorite UA Event or holiday: UA event: 4th
of July fireworks. General: 4th of July because it
reminds me of what freedom is all about.
My
greatest inspiration was:
I love being a part of the UA community both personally
and professionally and I hope Larson's is here for
a long time to come.

The UA High School Golden Bears take on Thomas Worthington on Friday, Sept. 15th, 7:30 pm.
The

planned for children and adults on an on-going basis.
