Community Directory. UA Alum and Resident, Margherita Finelli created the idea
for the site that is designed for ease of navigation and time-efficiency.
Margherita
Finelli is a 1975 graduate of Upper Arlington High School and a 1978 graduate
of The Ohio State University, where she majored in Communications. Margherita
began working during her senior year in high school for the City of Upper Arlington
in the Finance Department to help pay for her college expenses. She landed her
first job out of college by doing an internship at Warner Qube and was later hired
as a production assistant for several of their TV programs. In 1979,
Margherita moved to Pittsburgh to work for KDKA-TV as an associate producer for
their afternoon talk show and then became a Producer/Host for Warner Cable of
Pittsburgh. In 1985, Margherita moved to Cincinnati to start a morning talk show,
"The Ira Joe Fisher Show" for WKRC, where she served at Executive Producer.
In 1989, she moved back to Upper Arlington to be close to family, and has served
as Community Affairs Director for WTTE-TV, Marketing Director for HER Realtors,
and Executive Producer for The Ohio State University Medical Center's national
satellite medical series, "OMEN," where she won numerous national awards
for her work. Currently, Margherita is the owner of MediaMix
Communications where she develops marketing strategies for small businesses,
and writes and produces educational and commercial video presentations.
Margherita has always enjoyed being involved in the community and has served as
President of the Buckeye Chapter of American Women in Radio and TV, President
of the Central Ohio MDA Chapter and also serves on the Board of Governors of The
National Television Academy for the Ohio Valley. Her greatest achievement
is "My son ... whom I love spending time with!"
